Hall and Richert the dental clinic has had more patients this semester than for a long time ,previously, but due to the small sen- ior class all who have come could not be accommodated. The clinic has been taking care of about 50 cases a day, with a possibility of taking care of more than 100 a day if there were more operators. More Operators Soon The doctors say, that next.semester in addition to the 40 senior operators they expect to have 85 juniors come into- the clinic as operators and they ,will be able to then take care of ap- ,proximately 125 ases daily. If any- one is planning to have work done, they are advised to make arrange-, ments during the first two months of next semester. After that the oper- ators will be busy finishing up the work of the patients and cannot give such good service to new ones. Many Students Treated The reason given for the great in- crease of patients attending the clinic is that people are beginning to real-. .ize the value of prevention of tooth, diseases and so do not wait until their teeth pain them.. About one-half the cases treated in the clinic are cases of University stu- ,dents. The o her half of the patients come from th Ypsilanti Normal, De- troit, Jackson, Lansing and the small towns surrounding Ann Arbor. These patients are sent to the clinic not only by dentists in their towns but by doc- tors, who are beginning to realize the value of good teeth to general health, it is stated.
