Junior girls, whO Are interested in
writing lyrics and music for the Jun-

sent at a meeting at 4 o'clock, Monday,
in Sarah Caswell Angell hall. Prof.
John R. Brumm will speak, and defin-'
ite lyrics will be assigned to those
wishing to write.
Athena Literary society will have
the Michiganensian picture taken at
12 o'clock Tuesday, insteads of 12:30
o'clock Monday. It will be taken at
Spedding's studio, 619 East Liberty
street, formerly White's 'studio.
A beginning class in aesthetic danc-
ing will be held dt 5 o'clock Monday
in Barboilai gymnasium. Girls who
signed for this course should not fail
to attend.
. There wil be a work meeting for
all members of Masques from 4 to 6
o'clock Tuesday afternoon in Sarah
Caswell Angell hall.
Rehearsals of "bolls" for this week
are as' follows: Four-thirty o'clock
Monday, and o'clock Wednesday,

SPANISH STUDENTS TO FORM
NEW LANGUAGE ORGANIZATION
Spanish students who expect to
continue work in that language to an
advanced degree and those who show
especial proficiency in the study, are
organizing, a society, the aims of
which will be much the same as those
held by Cercle Francais, only relating
to Spanish instead of to French.
The first meeting of prospective
members was held last Tuesday eV-
ning and the next meeting, at which
definite organization steps will be tak-
en, will he held at 7:15 o'clock Tues-
day evening in room 103, University
hall.
Engineering students are eligible in
this society as well as students in the.
literary college.
GARGOYLE STAFF TO TAKE
ACTIVE PART IN CONTEST
Determined efforts to bring a part
of the prizes for the best college wit
offered by Judge, a humorous publi-
cation, will be made on the part of
the art staff of the Gargoyle, accord-:
ing to S. G. Wiener, art editor.
A meeting of his staff, to which are
invited all campus artists including
Freshmen who desire to enter the com-
petition, will be !held at 4:30 o'clock
Monday in'the Press building. Wei-
ner asks that those who care to en-
ter the contest bring sketches of their
drawing to the meeting.

Rollins--On Armistice day at Rol-
lins college it was decided to raise
$250,000 with which to construct'a new
gymnasium and to provide an endow-
ment fund for athletics. Former stu-
dents everywhere are being called up-
on to give $15,000, which will be used
for the construction of the field.

BAPTISTS HEAR INTERESTING
TALKS BY PASTOR AND FACULTY
Baptist faculty and students gave a
house-warming last night at the Bap-
tist Guild house. A welcome was *ex-
tended to friends of the. church by
H. R. Chapman, director of the guild.
Dr. Leroy Waterman, professor of
semitics,' talked on "The Guild and
the Campus." Mr. J. M. Wells, the
pastor, discussed the relations of "The.
Guild and the Church," and Dr. W. W.
Beman, professor of mathematics, and
Dr. J. L. Markley, professor of mathe-
matics, gave short talks. Mr. Curtis
Thompson, '21D, leader of the evan-
gelistic band orchestra, played °a vio-
lin solo.
BAPTIST BAND TO HAVE CHARGE
OF DEXTER SERVICES TODAY,
The Baptist guild evangelistic band
has charge of all Baptist services in
Dexter today. H. R. Chapman, direct-
or of the guild, made the trip with
seven members of the band: Lionel
Crocker, '23, leader; W. Messinger,'23;
Edison Cramer, '23; John Hammels,
'23; C. M.'Hanford, '23; W. E. Jack-
son, '20, and C. B. Anderson, '20.
The were entertained last night at
dinner at the home of Dr. A. B. Cur-
tis, an'd later they' attended the play
presented by the Dexter High school
'athletic assocation for the benefit of
the basketball team.
RADIO OPERATORS MAKE
ARRANGEMENTS FOR DUTY
Operators of the University radio
station have arranged to be on duty
from 7:30 to 1I o'clock on Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
nights. The schedule for other even-
ings is indefinite, though there proba-
bly will be an operator on duty near-
ly every night..
The apparatus is located in room
103 of the Engineering building, and,
visitors are welcome. at the station
at any time during the hours men-
tioned.

Rain Doesn't Dampen Fresh Spirits
Freshman girls were entertained
at a 'tea dansant given from 2:30 to 5
o'clock Saturday afternoon at Helen
Newberry residence, 'The affair was
the second of a series of dances to be
given for first year girls, the aim be-
ing to get the girls better acquaint-
ed. A large crowd attended, in spite
of the rain which did not iseem to
dampen the spirits of the yearlings.
Dr. Snow Marries Graduate Nurse
Dr. S. W. Snow, '19, of Leslie, and
Miss Sophia B. Sweitzer, a graduate
of the, Nurses' Training school of the
University, of Ypsilanti, were married
at high noon on Thanksgiving day at
the home of the bride's arents, Mr.
and Mrs. G. Sweitzer.
