WOWAWS ASSOCIATION URGES ISSUANCE OF TWO-CENT COiN Following closely upon the recent Roosevelt memorial campaign, to ,which the University of Michigan con- tributed nearly $700, the Woman's Roosevelt memorial association has urged congress to issue a two-cent' coin bearing the likeness of the -late{ ex-President. At a public meeting in New York City recently, the association adopted a resolution which stated that as it has been thetcustom to issue coins and medals to commemorate the great men of the United States, con- gress should authorize the issue of the Roosevelt two-cent piece. Shortly after the death of Colonel Roosevelt, the !Woman's association was formed for the purpose of restor- ing his birth place in New York City. Plans are already under way to re- store the birthplace site as it appear- ed in 1858, the year of Colonel Roose- velt's birth.
