Richards, of the dents, was easily the star performer of the entire fra- cas. His long end runs and dashing plunges at the line demoiralized the opposing team. Haig 'displayed the best form for the engineering aggre- gation, getting o0) some good passes. It had grown .quite dark and it was hard to see the 'ball by the time the third set was under way. The match could not be postponed so both men agreed to go on with it. Stephens was on his game now. .His service was fast and well placed and his shots were all deep in the court. Cole was unable to stop this fast attack. The darkness also prevented him from doing himself justice. Stephens was in command of .the set throughout. He had no trouble in winning the third and deciding set 6-0:. The score of the match was 1-6, 7-5; 6-0 in favor of Stephens. Stephens is a most promising play- er. Although somewhat slow in get- ting started, he studies his opponerit's game and adapts himself accordingly. He has a very good backhand and a fast drive. His serve has quite a top ,and falls deep in the court. He will be excellent varsity material in his sophomore year. Doubles Hard Fought The fin'al round in the doubles was beyond a doubt the ' hardest fought match in the entire tournament.
