in the fall tennis tournament yester-
day afternoon before darkness set in.,
In this, the fourth round in the sin-
gles, Cole eliminated Christie in three
-sets. The game was closely contest-
ed, as the score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, would
indicate. Both players were greatly'
handicapped by the poor:tennis weath-
er, neither playing his usual game.
By virtue of his victory, Cole now
meets Reindel in the semi-finals. This
match will .be played at 10 o'clockm

College, Exchanges
Oklahoma-University post No. 52
of the American Legion has been offi-
cially launched at the University of
Oklahoma. Delegates are to be sent
to the national convention Nov. 11 at
Minneapolis, Minn. At least 400 vet-
erans will be asked to join in the post.
M. A. C.-In accordance with the re-
cent federal action to make Armistice
day, Nov. 11, a legal holiday, the
classes at M. A. C. will be suspended
for the day on next Tuesday, Nov.
11. A special program is being plan-

ned by one of the members of Post
-05.
Columbia-When Cardinal Mercier
was at Columbia. university a na-
tional committee for the restoration of
the University of Lpuvain was organ-
ized. The goal set was $500,000. A
gift of $100,00 has been received from
an unknown contributor.
Princeton-As a memorial to the
Princeton graduates who 'fell in the
Great War, a number of scholarships
have been esstablished at the univer-
sity. The scholarships will be, open
for competition next spring and will
provide for tuition, traveling expenses
and in special cases, for part of the
living expenses.
Student A. I. E. E. Branch Meets
The student branch of the Ameri-
can Institute of Electrical Engineers
met Thursday night in the Engineer-,
ing building. The meeting was call-
ed for general business and for mak-
ing plans for the year.
