ANNOUNCE TRY-OUT RESULTS IN WEEK Announcement of results of the try- outs for Masques will have to be post- poned until next week, owing to the large number of candidates. Nearly 150 girls have applied for membership, which fact has made it necessary for the director to hold an almost daily session in order that all the girls may be given a fair chance. Finals, in which those who have given evid- ence of the greatest ability will appear before the committee a second, time, will be'held at 4 o'clock next Thurs- day afternoon. "It is certainly encouraging to find so many of the University women in- terested enough in getting dramatic experience to go through this awful ordeal of trying out," Professor Nelson Masque director, said yesterday. "My greatest regret is that of so many who have shown real talent, We can choose so few. But it seems best to maintain our policy of a small organization in which allof the members can be really active. We shall be forced to select only 30 out of nearly 150 who have been tried out. The time is surely coming when larger opportunities and greater facilities for amateur dram- atics must be provided .at Michigan, he concluded. A chance for any student to make $25.00.
