When Dean Myra B. Jordan return- ed to Ann Arbor on Sept. 6 she was confronted with the problem of es- tablisbhing good rooming houses to ac- commodate 253 new girls who were without rooms. About 20 additional houses were, upon satisfactory inspec- tion, added to the list of University houses and the prospective students telegraphed to prepare to come. The enrollment of women in the lit- erary college this year will be the greatest in the history of the Univer- sity. On Friday night the number of women enrolled in that college was 856. At the same time three years ago the "number was 616 which was later proven to be about one-half the full enrollment. Basing conculsions on this fact, about 1,700 women may be ex- pected to be enrolled this year in the literary college. On Saturday night it was reported that 635 new women had been registered of which 400 were freshmen. Club Will Breed Rabbits for Fur London, Sept. 28.-An organization. known as the Beveren club has been formed here to breed rabbits for their fur. The scheme is being run on co- operatives lines. The blue Beveren and the Havana rabbits are the strain which the club intend to rear. The fur of the blue Beveren is of lavander blue and is long, lustrous, fine and silky.
