Coach Mitchell there- fore urges that, all scors' be 'tele- phoned or taken to the office as soon as the match has been played. This will expedite matters greatly. In the class tennis tourney San- chez, '23E, defeated Cobane, '20M, Bassett, '21, was victor,.over Wilson, '21, and Moeller, '21, bested Hel- ler, '21. Three 2 to 1 matches were played in the-fraternity elimination when Alpha Rho Ohi,' Phi Rho Sigitna and Delta Tau Delta won from Zeta Psi, Delta Chi and Phi Sigma Kappa, re- spectively. As a result of this win Delta Tau Delta is now in the semi- finals. The fraternity track meet will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday aft- ernoons of next week. Although -the complete program is not yet- ready for announcement 'entries should be made at once. This will be the last chance which any house will have to. better its' standing in the race for the big cup. At present the Alpha Delta are far in the lead and practically have the cup' cinched. However, the race for the cup which will be awarde'd for sec-, ond place is very close. The points will be awarded as fol lows in this meet:: 100 points to the house which wins the meet, 50 points tb the house which placed the great- est number of men, 25 points to the, house which enters a team and 50 points to' the house which enters a team of six or more men. ILLINI NEIXT -OPPONENT OF. MICHIGAN NI NEK Michigan ends a hard week on the diamond Saturday by playing the Un- iversity of Illinois baseball team on Ferry field. This is the first game of the year between the two squads, and will be keenly contestedbecause of the positions of the two teams in the Conference race. Illinois has dropped two games, losing to Iowa and Ohio State, and is the only team of any great power in the Big Ten which Michigan has not successfully engag- ed as yet this year. Victory in this game will mean virf- ually the Conference champidnship, as none of the other schools are near enough to catch the flying Wolver- ines. Illinois, by winning all the rest of the games which the Indiana team has to play, including those with Michigan, can take the western title, but in view of the game that the Maize and Blue has been playing in the last, two weeks, Illinois will be fortunate to win one of the two. Michigan's best lineup will be p/re- sented to the Illini, with Parka3the probable choice for mound duty. If Genebach is still troubled with his ankle, there is a highly capable sub- stitute in the person of Froemke. Froemke's catching in the California and Notre Dame games has stamped him as a receiver of merit. Page and Shaw Candies of Boston. Tices' Drug Store, 117 So. Main.-Adv. Fine Straw Hats. Both teams have-exceptionally rong outfits and both teams have own up well all through tjie league. though the dents have the edge on e lits as far as the pitching depart- ent is concerned with O'Hara hurl- g for them, that advantage is atoned r by the superior infield and team- ay of the lits.
