LEEVER, EX-'19, RETURNS FROM OVERSEAS FOR SHORT VISIT Ensign Lawrence C. Leever, ex-'19, of Ann Arbor, has been home for a ,short visit with his parents, having returned from overseas May 10. En- sign Leever is now in the transport service, and his visit was a hurried ,one due to the early sailing of his ship. He left the University in his Junior year, Joining the navy shortly after the outbreak of hostilities. Dr. D. W. Myers and Dr. C. B. Stouf- fer of the University Health service will conduct discussion groups follow- ing lectures. Dr. Stouffer will discuss! Materia Medica. On the evening of Wedniesday, May 21, Dr. F. J. Cody, '17H, of the fac- ulty, will lecture on "Foreign Bodies in the Eye." In the afternoon Dr. C. B. Kinyon, also of the faculty, will lead in a discussion of "Obstetrics." Entertainment will be provided by the committee in charge of the con- ference for the wives attending with their husbands, and the Country club will be turned over to the ute of the delegates Wednesday afternoon. II - r CHINESE STUDENTS ORGANIZE BUREAU TO GIVE INFORMATION Topics Relating to Liff, Government, Customs, to Be Handled by Committee In order to give general information about China to students of the Uni- versity and outsiders as well, the Chi- nese Students' club has recently' ap- pointed a committee composed of one member from each department. The primary purpose of this bureau is to tell facts to any Americans who wish to go into any line of work in China. Whether about business condi- tions, missionary work, or any ques- tions in regard to the customs, life, geography, or government, this bureau will be glad to give replies either by lecture or letter. Communications should be addressed to either the Chinese Students' club or to F. C. Liu, the president. The stu- dents appointed on the committee to handle the bureau are as follows Hsiu C.
