ZINC,'141 MICHIGAN GRADUATE TO SEEK GRATES OF FALLEN AIRMEN Seeking out the scattered graves of the 150 missing American aviators be- yond the former Hun lines is the work of Capt. Frederick W. Zinn, '14E, of the American aviation service. Captain Zinn has the reputation of knowing the personnel of the air forces of the A. E. F. better than any other. For he. is a veteran of the French Foreign Legion and the Lafayette Es- cadrille. Wh.en America entered the war he was given the task of assign- ing all our young aviators to their fighting units and it was while engag- ed in this work that he came to know them all, and to become pre-eminently qualified for his present task. Already, Captain Zinn's quest has led him over the greater part of northern France and in to Belgium and Germany. Wherever there was fighting in which the American air service participated, there Zinn has gone or will go. Already he has defi- nitely located and identified the spots where 70 of the 150 who fell were buried. This is a work which involves nu- merous complications, for often the Germans made no official record of the place of burial, or the flyers were interred by civilians. In numerous in- stances Captain Zinn had only the faintest clues to work on, and his de- ductions from these and the records of the missing aviators' squadrons are worthy of the ingenuity of a master detective. I t r I f_ I AT THE WHITNEY One of the popular portraits of the American stage is Otis Skinner's Col- onel Philippe Bridau in "The Honor of the Family," which he will present Monday, May 5, at the Whitney theater. It has been some 10 years since he created this role, and his return to it will be welcomed by thousands of peo- ple who remember the rare charac- terization. Mr. Skinner may be re- garded as one of the staunch pillars of the legitimate drama in this coun- try, having never given way to the cinema sirens. Like every other actor who has won a high place in the pro- fession, he has fought his way inc by inch by the hardest and most 1o- scientious work. tB+ oK, Z* * ifii II. .
