The same number of prints were also ordered of the four most popular pieces: "Come On, Dad," "My Lover," "Marry Me, Mary," and "Romance." Reports of the number of copies sold have not yet been turned in, but it is estimated by opera officials that the sales have been equal to those of former years. The musical part of this service, which promises to be most impressive, will be Stainer's oratorio, "The Cruci- fixion," sung by a chorus choir under the direction of Professor Earl V. I Moore., The minister of the church, Rev. Lloyd C. Douglas, will give the ad- dress. His topic will be , "Lifted Up." It is planned that the entire service will last one hour. The interest shown in the Good Fri- day service at the Congregational church last year has made it seem very desirable to continue this as an an- nual event in this church. Prepara- tions have been made to make this year's service, more notable than that of a year ago. It is announced that the doors of the church will be opened at 3:15 and closed promptly at 3:35. after which time there will he no admittance. FEW ABSENCES IN PAST TWO WEEKS With the exception of absences caus- ed by Jewish students who had re- mained at home for the pass-over dur- ing the first few days of this week, the attendance committees in the va- rious colleges of the University report that absences during the week preced- ing and that following the April vaca- tion were at a minimum. But few excuses other than for sick- ness were made by those students who had been absent during this time. Though the greater majority of stu- dents understand and comply with the attendance rules, there are still some who have failed to account for their absences,. according to the commit- tees. This is 4ue, it is thought, to a misun4erstanding of the rules on the part of the unusually large number of new students wh~o entered at the be- ginning of the second semester. As all absences must be acoounted for, students are asked to read and comply with the rules which are post- ed on the bulletin boards in the Uni- versity buildings, w CI Prices: Lower Floor 81.50-$2.00 Balcony S1-$1.50 Gallery 75c SEAT SALE TUESDAY MORNING V L ERLANGER ' took~rir~o T~otrad ulian streets N 'ALFftED LWIT ciind exceplozal CZ3I Ii 4 Nickels Arcade 14 16d/S ffed 1 PIPES I EASTER SHOWING I To Students who have been in the Military or Naval Service of the Country The Faculty of the Law School df the University of Michigan has arranged aspecial course for the Summer Session of 1919 and the first semester of.the year 1919-1920, in which course the stu- dent is allowed to carry an amount of work slightly in excess of the normal amount and thus gain the equivalent of a year of credit. The saving of time for students who may be discharged from the army or navy before June 23 will thus be considerable and of great importance in aiding them to secure early admis- sion to the bar. The course will include all subjects of the reg- ular curriculum and will be given in the regular way by the Law School Staff. Students desiring to take advantage of this course must pre- sent official evidence of their military or naval service.
