Westbrook, Shields, and Munz, can- didates for the squad have been out knocking the bail around for the last week and will soon be ready for the watches which will be held next week. LUNOSREN'S'EN WORK DESPITE COLD WEATHER CASE GAME TO BE FIRST ON WOL- VERTUNECOMINGI SCHEDULE Coach Lundgren has definitely an- nounced that the game with Case next Saturday will be played if the weather permits. In case the large diamond is not in shape and a game would have a bad effect on the turf, the aux- iliary diamond will be used. The Case team has never loomed up on Michigan's horizon as a serious competitor. The games with this col- lege have always taken on the appea- ance of practice battles to the Wol- verine men. No information is avail- able that would reveal their strength. None of the dopesters at Ferry field have much to say as to the person- nel of the Case team and the worth of its individual players, but all seem confident that Michigan will have an easy time of it. Ypsl Game Wednehday This game with the Ypsilanti battle w1 ich is scheduled to take place the following Wednesday ought to serve the Lundgren men well as an excel- lent opportunity to get into form for the match with Indiana, April 26. Coach Lundgren said Thursday that this game was the one for which he was marshalling his forces. The In- diana outfit is said to present a for- midable aggregation, possessing a string of stars which eVen the Wol- verines will find it hard to outshine. Rain and cold did not prevent 10 men on the squad from practicing Thursday. Those men who made their appear- ance yesterday were: Schluntz, Parks, Glenn, Scheidler, Froemke, Knode, Van Boven, Novak, Pheney, and Bower- man. New Foxing Plan To eAttemp-teld 'Boxing instruction as it was carried on last year is not to be continued this Pspring. Orville Westerman, who was the in- structor, is now in Detroit and 'will not return to Ann Arbor to carry on his work of 1918, and no successor has been named for him. According to Doctor May a new plan is to be put into effect next year if I ossible. An instructor in boxing and wrestling will be paid in part by the University and will charge a nominal fee for individual lessons. This is in many respects the ideal arrangement. In this way the fees will be low enough for anyone to afford the in- struction' and the boxing master will not be dependent entirely on the money from the students for his in- come. , A OF I I, 4 I I.
