The program will be announced later. Frieze Memorial organ in Hill audi- torium is a unique instrument. It was constructed by the Farrand & Votey Organ company of Detroit, for exhibi- tion purposes at the World's Fair in Chicago in 1893, at which time it represented the acme of organ con- struction. It was among the first great organs to be operated by elec- tricity. While at the exhibition it was heard by many thousands of visitors and was played upon by practically all of the great organists who were before the public at that time. At the close of the exposition, through the efforts of the University School of Music it was purchased, presiented to l the University of Michigan and set up in University hall, where it rep iosedi for many years, during which time! thousands of students heard it phayed' upon by Dr. Stanley and other ozlgan- ists of world renown. i With the construction of Hill audi- torium, special quarters were designed for it by the architect and at the ex- pense of many thousands of dollars it was transferred to its new home and completely rebuilt and modern- ized. The Faculty of the Law School of the University of Michigan, has arranged a special courseforthe Summer Session of 1919 and the first semester of the year 1919-1920, in which course the stu- dent is allowed to carry an amount of work slightly in excess of the normal amount and thus gain the equivalent of a year of credit. The saving of time for students who may be discharged from the army or navy before June 23 will thus be considerable and of great importance in aiding them to secure early admis- sion to the bar. The course will include all subjects of the reg- ular curriculum and will be given in the regular way by theLaw School Staff. Students desiring to take advantage of this course must pre- sent official evidence of their military or naval service.
