Although the situations and charac- ters of the story are somewhat exag- gerated, they serve to develop the au- thor's theme. A young wife is sadly distressed by her husband's growing carelessness regarding dress, appear- ance, and manners. Matters reach a point where she is unable to stand it longer, and she leaves him for a supposedly better man. She discov- ers her error, however, and as her former husband has meanwhile be- come aware of his faults and correct- ed them, there is a reconciliation. The staging of the photoplay is un- usually effective and there are a num- ber of striking scenes. The acting bears out the high standard set by the producer. AT THE ARCADE "Love in -a Hurry," in which Car- lyle Blackwell and Evelyn Greeley are the stars at the Arcade Tuesday, March 18, is filled with all sorts of exciting incidents, and is d pleas- ing, entertaining story. The picture was filmed from the Saturday Evening Post story, "A Huge, Black, One-Eyed Man," written by Kenyon Gambier. May Allison will appear tomorrow in "In for Thirty Days." This is a prologue which adds much to the surprises that make up the evening. Twenty-two characters are required to portray the every-day people that take part in the comedy, and the four scenes include a lawyer's office, a shoe store in Stamford, Conn., a parlor of a suite Sin a distinguished New York hotel, and a room in a haunted house. May Allison's picture, "Infor Thir- ty Days," which comes to the Ar- cade Wednesday, March 18, will be of especial interest to the campus, since the cast includes Rex Cherryman, ex- '19, who has the part of a foreign no- bleman.
