How is This for Earning Easy Money
Atractive opportunity is being pre-
sented to the students of Kansas un-
iversity to pose as models for the
class in portrait painting. The nice
thing about it is, the subject does not
have to be good looking. Any kind
of interesting person will do. The
victims also get 25 cents an hour.

The Flashing of a Moron
Have you a lavender soul,
Or a sky blue pink soul,
Or 'one that is carmine or cerise
Or dapple gray or heliotrope?
It is an important question,
For you must tone up
Your surroundings to
Match your soul,
So says a prominet decorator.
If you have a mauve soul and you
Live in a house with blue blinds
You are all out of luck
And not hitting-on all cylinders-
Out of tune with the infinite.
If you have a violet soul
And spill orange marmalade
Upon your checkered vest
You are beyond the realms of the aes-
thetic.
If you have red hair
And the brush and comb set is pale
blue
The result is the same.
Tone up your surroundings.
But you can't always do that.
Last night we walked home
With a man who was carrying
A large, dull red, porterhouse steak
And our soul was green-
And our codfish didn't taste right
That evening.
In "our monument more enduring
than brass" of yesterday morning we
noticed that we called Theda a harsh,
biting name. Even our contempor-
ary wouldn't have tried to rhyme
beast and cigaroot except perhaps in
Russian. Should have been beaut,
of course. And we have been dodg-
ing the Sociology faculty ever since.
Today the Senior Engineer wanted to
know if Flora and Fauna were the
Gold Dust twins.

Our Daily Novelette
Robin Hood blew on the powder
horn. A bat flew out of Dunsinane
wood. The stag at eve was drinking
his fill and Roderick Dhu was beat-
ing up the mountain ,pass. Hush.
Little John with a paper knife in
his mouth came sniffing through the
brake. "S'matter, Robin," he said.
"Did Friar Tuck get his skirts caught
in a hawthorns bush or something."
"Nope," said Robin. "I'm going to
quit killing sheriffs. Am goin' to
Michigan to study forestry to be a
manufacturer."
It was John who answered? "By St.
Dunstan, them are wild words, go-
ing to study forestry to be a manu-
facturer. What are you going to
make, book leaves?"
