Church in the Life of the Nation."
Second Baptist Church
A special Roosevelt-Dunbar memo-
rial service will be rendered by the
U. of M. Literary club at 7:30 Sunday
evening in the Second Baptist church.
The regular morning services will be
held at the usual time.
Church of Christ
The Rev. F. P. Arthur, pastor of the
Church of Christ Disciples, will preach
at 10:30 o'clock Sunday on Alexander
Duff. Bible school will be in session
at noon. The Junior choir, led by
Mrs. Glass, will sing during the even-
ing service, which starts at 7:30
o'clock, and the pastor will discourse
on "The Spiritual Declension."
Unitarian Church
The Rev. F. H. Kent, who recently
returned from France, will speak at
10:30 o'clock Sunday at the Unitarian
church, and again at 7 o'clock before
the Y. R. P. U. Both of his talks will
deal with the new British feeling of
friendliness toward the United States.
The Reverend Kent became secre-
tary of the Y. M: C. A. library depart-
ment in England last March. Later he
was made field secretary of library
work for the United Kingdom.
While on duty near Verdun the Rev-
erend Kent became seriously ill, and
was compelled to return to America.
Upon his recovery he was appointed as
Billings lecturer.
Church of Christ (Scientist)
"Mind" is the subject of the morn-
ing services at 10:30 in the First
Church of Christ Scientist. Sunday
school meets at 11:45, to which pupils
under 20 years of age are admitted.
Presbyterian Church
Universal day of prayer services will
be observed all day Sunday in the
Presbyterian church and Leonard A.
Barrett will talk on "Ventures of
Faith" at 10:30 o'clock. Following this
service Bible school meets and Prof.
T. E. Rankin will address his class of
young people. At 6:30 the young peo-
ple's evening service will be held.
St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church
Sunday school assembles at 9 o'clock
in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran
church, followed by the morning serv-
ice at 10 o'clock, when the pastor, the
Rev. H. A. Bauer, will deliver a ser-
mon on "Sowing and Reaping." The
Lord's Supper will be celebrated in the
English evening service, the ceremo-
nies beginning at- 7 o'clock. "Worthy
Communicants" is the pastor's topic
for the night service. Immediately fol-
lowing the morning service an impor-
tant special meeting of the congrega-
tion will be held to decide on a call
which has been extended to the pastor
by one of the largest Lutheran church-
es in Detroit.
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
Holy communion will be solemnized
at 7:30 Sunday morning in St. An-
drew's Episcopal church. Morning
prayer and sermon by the pastor, the
Rev. Henry Tatlock, will be held at
10:30. At 4:30 in the afternoon Ves-
per service and an address will be
given.
