Christmas to be fMerry One From the Stars and Stripes. When Christmas eve comes almost every unit of the A. E. F. will have a real live celebration and invite in all the boys and girls from the neighbor- ing towns and countryside. There will be real Christmas trees, evergreen ones, with burning can- dles and tiny electric lights and tin- sel, a blazing shrine that will bring memories of Christmas across the wa- ter. Yes, and there will be a Santa Claus for every tree. He will be an A. E. F. Santa with O. D. issues un- der his white trimmed red robes and his white beard will hide a stubble- less face, and he may speak French with an intonation 'of Kentucky or Michigan, but still he will be the same old Santa of the jingling bells. The Y. M. C. A. is planning to trim its huts with mistletoe which grows in all parts of France and to give plays adapted to the occasion. To each and every soldier in the A. K. F. the "Y" will give a Christmas box. Each box, and there will be 2,000,000 of them, is to contain two bars of sweet chocolate, two packs of cigar- ettes-and, well, for the third item in the box the boys may choose be- tween cream candy, a cigar or a bar of chewing tobacco. There is no plausible reason why the A. E. F. should not have a Merry Christmas. NO MORE USE FOR INFIRMARY; CHII SI HOUSE EVACUATED The Chi Psi house now echoes hol lowly to its bare walls. For the past two months it has been used as an infirmary by the naval and military authorities, but since the demobili- zation of the S. A. T. C., there has been no need of it. For days a steady packing up has been in evidence. All there is left to tell that the building once served as a hospital is a few piles of boxes and bales, branded with the red cross and stencilled "Camp Custer." Even these will be removed by the end of the week. Pennsylvania is being visited by a commission composed of prominent professional and educational nen from Scandanavian countries. The mission is visiting the United States with a purpose similiar to that of the Br tiib and French missions. Patronize our anvertisers--Adv.
