State St. Practice, for men trying out for the sprints, was continued yesterday aft- ernoon, under the direction of Carl Johnson. Men in the distance events went through their regular cross country jot, while the track was being used by' Johnson's squad. Of those who have made their ap- pearance so far this year Meese of last year's freshman track team seems the most promising. He is not the only one of ability, however, as Lukins, Hopkins, and Krause are also show- ing up well. The next regular practice for short distance men will be tomorrow, but all who appear this afternoon will be taken care of. If the men do not appear for practice the lockers which they have been using will be forfeited to some of the men now unable to se-{ cure accommodations in the club- house.
