BUNKER ADDRESSES LAST
ASSEMBLYOF FRESH LITS
Speaker Tel1s I'ir.t Year Mui to
Follow Nature andlo
Their Best
"Dame Nature is a great old dame,
providing you follow her dictates. Try
to go against the natural grain and
you're up against it. Do the best you
can and let it go at that."
These and a number of similar re-
marks made up the address given by
Prof. Robert K. Bunker, of the Law
School, at the last fresh lit assembly
yesterday afternoon in University hall.
His subject was "Almost Sophomores."
Professor Bunker talked at length
on tlh vast difference between knowl-
edge and learning, and lai muh
stress on the necessity of paying more
attention to the practical things than
to mere ancient history. He appealed
to the freshmen to follow Michigan
customs and traditions, at all times re-
main faithful to their trust, and to
pay back noth tlhe state and the uni-
versity for all they have done for
them.
A number of well-rendered selec-
tions by the Fresh Glee club, a fine
reading of Kipling's "Boots" by D. R.
Hertz, '19, and a short business meet-
ing completed the assembly.
So successful have this year's as-
semblies been that it is expected they
will be continued next year.

The Professor Can't Do It
He can pass you out of college with honor marks, but
he can't pass you through life. Tackling the problems
of business -is a matter of physical and mental pre-
paredness, and these come from well balanced foods
and rational exercise. For the problems of college or
the battle of life nothing can equal

every line of endeavor. Shredded Wheat Biscuit is
on the training table of nearly every college and uni-
