Kenneth Wiseman Member of the Los Angeles Ad Club Quartette and what he thinks of the M. Nunes & Son's Ukuleles Gentlemen: I have tried a dozen different makes of Ukuleles but for the past sevcral years I have used exclusively the instrument wade by M. Nunes & Sons. The tone of this Ukulele, is BIG, DEEP and very RICH in quality and from my per- sonal experience I find that these necessary qualities are usually lacking in the other makes of Ukuleles. Respeptfully yours, KENNETH WISEMAN Grinnell Bros'.Music House Late committee reports which are still coming in at the local office of the Michigan Union show that the Union's national building campaign now under way is in a most healthy state, despite reports to the contrary that have been given considerable cir- culation on the campus. While the total subscriptions re- ceived during the first half of the canvass did not reach the $500,000 mark that was the aim of those in charge of the project, the Union work- ers expect to more than make up for this slight deficiency in the final two weeks of the campaign. The great effort of the 30-day can- vass will be made during the last few days, which have been designated as Concentration Wee :by those in charge of the work. On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sat- urday of Concentration Week, nightly meetings will be held in all cities where headquarters have been estab- lished, and reports will be read from all over the country showing the progress made by the other commit- tees. The campaign will end on October 30, when another simultaneous mass meeting will be held by the various committees, similar to the meeting which opened the canvass. At this time, final reports from all of the 206 local committees will be received at the Ann Arbor meeting, which is to be held in Hill auditorium, and those in charge of the work are confident that the totals will reach the $1,000,- 000 mark, the amount needed to build, equip and endow the proposed new club house.
