The book forms a volume of 130 pages, which have been printed from plates made especially for this edition. For the convenience of readers the Latin .text has been placed upon the left hand page, and the translation on the opposite page, with full stage di- rections in English: The translatio was prepared by Prof. JosephH . Drake, of the Law School, for the presentation of the play in 1890. No changes were necessary in the new edition except where a few alterations were required to accord with the pro- gress of investigation. A brief introduction in the libretto gives an appreciation of the play. At the close of the book it briefly sug- gests the points of difference between Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors" and the comedy of Platus, from which Shakespeare is said to have derived his plot and inspiration. The book of the play was arranged for the press by Dr. Gilbeyt H. Tay- lor, of the Latin department. On ac- count of the illness of Harold Roehm, '18, Dr. Taylor will take the part of Menaechmi I in the cast. The tickets are now on sale. They may be obtained Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the corridor of Uni- versity hall from 9:00 to 11:00 and from 2:00 to 4:00 o'clock, and on Thursday, the day of the play, from 9:00 to 12:00, 2:00 to 4:00, and 7:00 to 8:00 o'clock. With ea'ch ticket a libretto will be furnished. HEATH SERVICE BEGINS TUBERCUSIS CAMPAIGN Questionnaires to Be Sent Out to Students; Examinations Made Free The 'university health service is be- ginning the extension of its anti-tu- berculosis campaign. Early in the year, Dr. H. H.' Cummings, of the health service, and Dr. William De Kleine had questionnaires printed for use in the health service offices, so that an examination might easily be made. Whenever the presence of the disease was suspected a physical ex- anination was given. In questionable cases the sputum was examinedl, and in still more.doubtful cases an X-ray of the lungs was taken. The findings were then verified by a specialist in tuberculosis. An examination of this kind would ordinarily cost $25, but students are entitled to a physical examination at any time without cost. Out of the first 100 students com- plaining of the disease 14 were found to have it in an active stage. These reports recently were turned into the executive committee of the health service, consisting of President Harry Burnis Hutchins, Dean Victor C. Vaughan and Dean Mortimer E. Cool- ey, and it was decided to send the questionnaire blanks to every°student in the university through their re- spective departments, requesting them to fill them out and to return them to the health service.
