Cummings, executive head of the institution, there is at present an epi- demic of influenza prevalent on the campus. Dr. Cummings, in an interview, stated several causes of the -malady and warned, students to guard them- selves against contracting it. "In- fluenza is most often contracted by lowering the resistance of the body,' said Dr. Cummings. "This is mosts often done by sleeping in overheated rooms, by getting the feet wet, by going outdoors while overheated and in general by any over-exertion.
