HIGH JINKS ON SATURDAY
MUSICAL COME DY WhICh HAS

SAIl TO HAVE HOOD COMPANY
"High Jinks," the play of the mys-
terious perfume, the fragrance of
which has charmed so many theater-
goers since its first presentation by
Arthur Hammerstein, will appear at
Sthe Whitney TheatresSaturday even-
ing. The company is reputed to be
first class.
The. book and lyrics written by Otto
Hauerbach portray a famous Amer-
ican nerve specialist in Paris experi-
menting with his newly discovered
perfume. In the first scene victim
Number 1 of the intoxicating perfume
becomes so joyous under its influence
that she madly embraces the doctor,
and so the action trips along until the
end.
Rudolf Friml has richly endowed
the score with lively and humorous
dance melodies like "Something Seems
to Tingle-Ingle-Ing." Friml is also
composer of the music for "The Fire-
MAJESTIC OFVERS FAlR BILL
. Leonora and Kolmossy, pantomimic
and classic dancers, open the bill at
the Majestic this week, and execute
several toe dances with a deal of grace.
Following them are Johnson and Day,
who offer a jigging and mediocre
singing act. Edward Farrelland com-
pany present what niay be called a
"roaring farce," from the liberal use
of shrieks, etc. The Chung Wha Four,
"Chinese exponents of harmony and
fun," are entertaining, while Les Dio-
dattis, with a live statuary act, are so
to a lesser degree. The bill, on the
whole, in spite of ye critic's headache
at this writing, may be recommended.
Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson, who
is considered by several eminent crit-
ics to be the greatest English actor of
this generation, is shortly to appear
in Ann Arbor.

Delivers Paper Before Dental Society
Dr. M. L. Ward, D. D. Sc., instruc-
tor of operative principles and ap-
plied science in the dental college,
during the summer months wrote a
paper oi "Composition of Dental Ce-
ment," which he delivered before the
National Dental association in San
Francisco the latter part of August.
He gave a report of the research work
that has been carried on in the dental
college for the past few years.
Dean Vaughan Leaves on Long Trip
Dean Victor C. Vaughan, of the
Medical School, has left Ann Arbor
for an extended trip through the
states of Minnesota, Wisconsin and
Missouri. He is expected to return in
about three weeks. With Dean Vaughan
and Mrs. Vaughan are three other
physicians and their wives, Dr. Will-
iam Mayo, '83M, being one of the mem-
bers of the party.

Several positions are open on the
editorial and business staffs of The
Technic, and tryouts are requested to
sign the list in the offices in room 214,
engineering building.
The Technic will publish its first
number the latter part of this month.
The material is almost all in and is
already going to the press. The edi-
tors promise a larger and better mag-
azine than ever before, a high stand-
ard having been set for this year.
