PLAN TO hAVE BOAT hOUSE
As a further step to insure the suc-
cess of the Naval Reserve corps, which
has been organized among the stu-
dents of the university, it has been
learned that the Naval Board at Wash-
ington, D. C., has already appropriated
$1000 to be used in erecting and main-
taining a boat house for the local divi-
sion. Together with this appropriation,
the government has assigned to the
local corps three 28-foot sailing cut-
ters and one 64-foot whale boat.
These craft will be ready for the men
sorie time in October.
According to Lieut. K. W. Heinrich,
'16E, one of the officers of the division,
no steps toward purchasing ground
for the boat house have yet been taken,
nor will they be until the autumn.
Lieut. Heinrich also announced that
rifle pits would be had next year, and
that an armory would be forthcoming
in the near future.
When school opens nex.t fall, equip-
ment fr all of the men in the division,
including four uniforms, 1914 Spring-
field army model rifles, side-arms,
will be on hand. Plans are already
being laid for carrying on the work
next fall.

CITY NEWS
James A. Morrison and Gustave Saiu-
uelson, both of this city, were made
American citizens yesterday before
Judge Kinne of the local circuit court.
Alfred Sebire, 38 years old, was
brought to this city from Dexter yes-
terday and is now lodged in the county
jail. Sebire was picked up in the de-
pot at Dexter, by the marshal of that
village Tuesday, when his actions and
weird tales caused misgivings as to
his sanity. Sebire persists that he
escaped from a band of 50 "Eye-tal-
fans", as he terms them, who swung
knives at him, and only spared his life
when he consented to become a Black
Hand. Doctors who have examined
Sebire will make no statement in re-
gard to the condition of his mind.

The new accelerative endowment
policy being issued by the New York
Life Insurance company is the last
word in life insurance.
It takes care of your beneficiary in
case of death; takes care of you
should you become totally and per-
manently disabled; provides for your
old age and pays DOUBLE THE FACE
OF POLICY if death occurs by acci-
dent while traveling on a common
carrier. The cost of this policy is at
practically Life Premium rates. It
is proving very popular with college
men and women. Twenty per cent of
the policies sold by the company dur-
ing the past five months have been on
this plan. The New York Life In-
surance company is over seventy
years old, paid in 1915, $28,822,893.17
to beneficiaries under policies claimed
by death; paid to living policy holders
$47,098,267.07. T. A. Lowry for the
