Big Year on Diamond About 15 members of the All-Fresh baseball team will receive jerseys and caps as a reward for their work. This year's nine was one or the most successful in the history of fresh- man baseball, and although the year- lings were blanked in an 8-0 game with the Poles Saturday, the first game with that institution resulted in a win for the yearlings, so the scores are fairly even. But one game was tiea this year, that with the Ypsi Normals, and it would seem that the freshmen have a shade on this team because of a later victory. All of the other contests were won by the freshmen. Parks, who was in the box in the first gan against the Poles, was driv- en out in Saturday's game in the sev- enth inning and Glen was sent in to relieve him. Mrowka allowed but four hits, whereas the freshman pitch- ers allowed 14 safeties. Patronize RaIly A dvertizers. ** without a bingle or a run. This ties the new world's record which Simpson estab- lished recently. Binga Dismond, of Chicago, tied "Ted" Meredith's new quarter mile mark of 47 2-5 around a curved track. Wisconsin won the meet, with Illinois second. The marvelous growth of our business is a result of personal recommendation from those we have pleased and a fine tribute to the Renellen idea. E7.
