HILL AVDITORIUM Thursday Evening Admission 25c INTEROLISS ATHLETES TO BATTLE IN PENTATH LON- Contestant With Lowest Score to Get Gold Watch; Wednesday and Thursday Days Set Interclass track men will have their last chance of the year to show what- ever form they possess in the Pen- tathlon which will be staged Wednes- day and Thursday afternoons of this week. This event offers unlimited oppor- tunities to beginners in track work as the events are so chosen that no one man can excel all others in more than one event. The 120-yard low hurdles, with the sticks placed 10 yards apart, the 100-yard dash, one-mile run, higl jump, and shot put are the events which each man must enter to take part in the Pentathlon. One point will be awarded to the winner in each event, while men tak- ing second, third and the following places will be scored with points cor- respo!ding to the number of the place which they take in the event. The man having the lowest score will re- ceive a gold watch as a prize, and to several of the higher. point winners other valuable prizes will be given. Entries in the PeAtathlon may be listed by telephoning Mr. Iowe at the Athletic offices, or by signing the en- try list posted in the Intramural club house at Ferry Field. The Pentathlon will start at 3:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and will be resumed at the same hour Thurs- day afternoon. ARREST STUDENT SWIMMERS Twelve Men Apprehended for Bathing in Huron Sunday Afternoon Twelve students were arrested Sun- day afternoon for bthing without suits in the Huron river, in view of hundreds of canoeists who passed con- tinuously, The arrests were made by the city motorcycle policeman. Offi- cials state that bathing will be permit- ted in Argo pond, provided full suits are worn, but that swimming in Bar- ton pond is absolutely tabooed, since the city water supply comes from this source. Complaints are also being registered by civic authorities about reckless and unlawful driving on the boulevards. On Glenn Drive, automobilists are to enter only at the Observatory or at Geddes Heights. On Cedar Bend drive, automobiles are to enter by way of Broadway, coming out at the Wall street bridge, although cars going in the opposite direction may be driven from the bridge as far as the island, while on the Longshore Drive ma- chines may travel in either direction. NOT TO PLAY AT KALAMAZOO Battle Notre Dame Friday and Satur- day While Fresh Meet YpsI Today Michigan will not meet Kalamazoo this afternoon, although an unofficial rumor last week stated that a return engagement had been booked. The next Varsity contests crime Fri- day and Saturday. The Saturday game will be played in the morning owing to the interscholastic finals. Notre Dame will figure as Michigan's oppo- nent both days.
