The agita- lion against them reached its height .e;eral years ago, and now shows i gns of receding. But it had the de- sired effect of stimulating the Greek letter organizations to a !realization of their faults, and awakening them to their responsibilities. The early results have been gratifying.' Now comes the opportunity to take over a share of the work that Ameri- ca seems destined to play in the pres- ent European drama. The adoption of French orphans, or those of any other nationality, is a cause deserving con- zideration. And what is still more gratifying is the fact that the relief so- ciety behind the project is not at- tempting to exploit the fraternities, as has been done so often in the past.
