APPE ARANCE OF NEW MEN BRIGHTENS SOCCER PROSPECTS Darkness alone stopped the anxious soccer candidates last night after a strenuous afternoon of hard practice. Coach E. R. McCall, '15L, has some splendid material this fall, and all in-. dications point to a successful season. Several men, who have had consider- able training at soccer in different parts of England, are out, and the task of selecting aformidable lineup to op- pose Ypsilanti Friday on the peda- gogues' own field does not seem diffi- cult. Haig Dombooragien, '17E, an Arme- nian, who was a member of Lansing's state champion soccer team last year, made his initial appearance yesterday, and Coach McCall was immediately impressed by his unusual skill.- Besides several other new men of exceptional ability, McCall has a fine nucleus left over from last year, and Michigan will undoubtedly be repre- sented by a star soccer aggregation this fall.
