The story relates how a hunchback, in revenge against a woman who had repulsed him, lures her step-daughter to the stage and assists her to become a dancer. The girl, Elaine, has two lovers for one of whom, John Butler, she forms a sincere attachment. Her step-mother goes to see her dance, and the hunchback, still enraged at her,- murders the woman. Hulur, laine's lover, is accused Of liiu% him, but Elaine clears him of the charge, and Elaine and Butler find that. the mutual love will make them happy in marriage. ThIursday June 10. TOlE FRANK CASE, This is a picturization of the story of tlhe auous Frank case which is just now attracting such nation-wide inter- est. While none of the actual charac- ters appear in the photo-play the story is worked out to show events as they occurredl it is not a gruesome story to fill one with horror, but rather shows how mob spirit seemingly has had its effect in the trial of this man.
