Fishleigh J .Herbert SUNDAY, MAY 30, 1915. Night Editor-Howard R. Marsh. OH, FOR WATER. Nobody seems -to understand just why it is such a difficult matter to get a drink of water on the campus. But it is. There is, in the first place, an insufficient number of founts. Except in the newer buildings, a drinking place is a rarity. Leaving out of con- sideration the administrative offices, University hall is as dry as Sahara. Law students are glad to drink from their hands. Even the fount in the middle of the campus is turned on a couple of months too late, and it is frequently out of repair during its season. The subject seems too trivial for re- iteration. The fact is, however, that the carelessness of the buildings and grounds department is causing serious inconvenience to the persons whom it is its duty to serve. A few hundred dollars spent in tapping campus wat- er mains would go a long way toward making the university property a liv- able place for those who will study here this summer--and afterwards. Continued rainy weather will give those in the north side of the chem building a chance to catch up in their work. Did you ever dream of tempting the Furies, and playing on those tennis courts in front of the women's build- ing' Be th ,fresh will omit to tell her how l e climbed a tree and gave his high school yell. High school commencement an- nouncenents are as expensive as a taxi-lo-ing best girl. To buy or not to buy a rew cash card, that is the question which is "rin"ling brows. Tre cap burned" would make an ir- reproachable item in any freshman's account book.
