The number will be the last of the school year, and the last in 1915 until October. The following articles have been contributed by engineering writers: "The Conners Creek Power Plant," by C. F. Hirshfeld; "Recent Developments in Transformers," by W. C. Smith, '05E; "Transcontinental Telephones," by J. D. Gordon, '06E; and "Shear and Bending" by Prof. George W. Patter- son and Mr. Frank W. Stevens, both of the engineering college. "Transitory Slants," the humorous section of the magazine, edited by Harold R. Schrad- zki, '15L, and J. H. Schmidt, '16E, will appear in the magazine as usual. The final report by the honor sys- tem consideration committee of the engineering college will be given in full in the Technic in place of the pam- phlets which were to have been issued. Reprints of the article will be made next week and distributed to students in the engineering college. DR. WALKER TO FINANCE TRIP TO MANISTIQUE THIS SUMMER Another zoological expedition has been made possible by the generosity of Dr. Bryant Walker of Detroit, who will finance a trip of ten weeks this summer to the regions about Manis- tique, Michigan. The party will be conducted by Dr. A. G. Ruthven, direc- tor of the museum. The party will consist of A. W. An- drews, Wilbur McAlpine and Fenton Combs, of Detroit, together with F. M. Gaige and Dr. Ruthven of the museum staff. Hall to Be Summer School Registrar Prof. A. G. Hall, of the mathematics department, was appointed registrar of the literary college for the summer session at the last' meeting of the board of regents. During recent years considerable confusion has been ex- perienced by the officers of the sum- mer session, who had the enrollment in charge, Due to the fact that the registration is practically the same as that during the regular semester, the board of regents decided to put Profes- sor Hall in charge.
