"4. Cummings, head of the health ser-
vice staff. The general supervision of
the sanitary measures will be in
charge of Dr. Cummings and Prof. W.
C. Iload, of the engineering college.
Letters have been sent out to every
organization house requesting them to
appoint a committee of two suitable
persons, one to act as an inspector in
a neighboring house, and the other to
accompany a representative from an-
other house in an inspection of his
own premises. There will be approx-
imately 200 of these student inspec-
tors, and they will be divided into
eight groups of 25 each,
which will meet - to receive in-
struction from members of the exec-
utivescommittee of the health service
representatives.
The inspection will probably be
mnde on one of the remaining Sun-
days before the colloge year is ended,
and will not take more than two hours'
time. The health service staff will as-
sist in this inspection.
Uniform inspection blanks will be
used, and after the survey is complet-
ed a filled-out copy blank will be sent
to each house. Among the many things
that the survey will include are the
location of the house, the exposure,
ventilation, light, fire risks, servant
conditions, and plumbing, besides a
general observation of the condition of
each floor in the house.
The health service representatives
were admitted as a campus organiza-
tion, at a meeting of the committee on
student affairs held last week.

Varsity Tennis Team Whips George-
town 6- and Leads Navy
in Postponed Battle
ENCOUNTER OBERLIN SATURDAY
Michigan Varsity tennis team re-
turned from its annual eastern trip,
with a record of having won four
matches, having lost two and leading
in another, which was postponed. The
team bettered the expectation of its
supporters, who failed to see hope for
many winnings on the trip, because of
the lack of experience of the players.
In the final matches of the trip, the
Wolverines beat Georgetown and were
leading Annapolis, when rain inter-
fered and caused the calling of a halt.,
The Washington players were no
match for the Michigan team, as every
match was won by the latter, the final
score standing 6-0. Captain Reindel
disposed of the hardest opposition,
when he defeated O'Boyle, in a three-
set match.
The summaries: Singles-Reindel
(M) d. O'Boyle (G), 6-2, 2-6, 6-1;
Crawford :(M) d. McGuire (G), 6-1,
6--4; Switzer (M) d. Hughes (G), 6-3,
6-3; Mack (M) d. Crecy (G), 6-2,
6-0. Doubles-Crawford and Reindel
(M) d. O'Boyle and McGuire (G), 5-7,
6-4, 7-5; Switzer. and Mack (M) d.
Cresy and Hughes (G), 6-3, 6-3.
In the last match of the trip, Mich-
igan was leading the Navy when rain
interfered. Three matches had been
completed, Michigan winning two, and
the Navy one. Switzer and Waters had
each won a set, and the Michigan man
was leading 2-1, when the match was
postponed.
The summaries: Singles-Reindel
(M) d. Godfrey (N), 6-4, 6-3; Ran-
dolph (N) d. Crawford (M), 6-1, 6-1;
Mack (M) d. Wood (N), 6-2, 6-1;
Switzer (M) led Waters (N), 7-5, 5-7,
2-1.
The Michigan team will play its
first intercollegiate at-home match in
several years, when it meets Oberlin
on the Ferry field courts Saturday. The
Oberlin men were the first team that

profited by experience, and having the
