MONDAY Encounter with Lansing Is Only One Booked for Yearlings This Season Coach Farrell announced last night that trials would be held next Monday for all first year men who will com- pete against M. A. C. in the dual en- counter with the Aggies. This meet is scheduled for next Saturday. Farrell expects to conduct trials in all of the events on Ferry field Mon- day, to get a line on the 1918 squad. The coach stated that all men who could not run Monday were instructed to see him and to make arrangements to appear on Tuesday. The meet with the Lansing outfit is the only encounter of the season that has been booked for the yearlings, and a victory will/ be the only thing that can make the present season a success forthe fresh in track work. The trials which will be run'Monday will begin at 3:00 o'clock and will last until 5:30 o'clock, thus giving every- one a chance to put in an appearance.
