RECORD NEW UNION LIFE MEMBERSHiPS Complete ?Michigan Union Statistics fromtResults of Impromptu Can- vass Held Thursday :3i9 OUT OF 879 MEN SIGN UP Names of men who signed up in the impromptu campaign for life mem- bers of the Michigan Union last Thurs-" day night have been recorded at the Union offices, and the lists show a to- tal of 359 registered. Out of the 879 men talked to, about two fifths con- sented to sign up. The campaign held Thursday night was a follow-up of the mass meeting held in the big auditorium on the night before, and one of the purposes was to augment the local rolls before invading among the alumni. There are still 3,000 in the university who have either not been talked to, or who have not joined in the project. Students who wish to give in their signatures now will not be required to make their frst of five yearly installments until five years from the present time.
