Prof. Dowrie to Attend Wage Meeting
Prof. G. W. Dowrie will not meet his
economics classes on Friday as he
will attend the conference of the Mich-
igan minimum wage commission in
Lansing, Friday and Saturday. He has
been appointed by Pres. Harry B.
Hutchins to represent the university
following an invitation by the com-
mission to all the universities and col-
leges in the state.

TOTEM CLUB AT YEAR'S FIRST
MEETING ELECTS NEW MEMBERS
Totem club, an organization com-
posed of members of the Detroit East-
ern high school, elected officers at. its
first meeting last night. Harold Hen-
derson, '16M, was elected to the office
of vice-president in place of B. L. Neis,
'16, who has not returned to the uni-
versity this year. The vacancy of the
treasurer's office, caused by the ab-
sence of Clifton Dance, '16, will be fill-
ed by Harold Wisner, '17H. The club
will hold four dinners at the Michigan
Union, also several smokers and danc-
es.
