Eaton Remaint WILL MEET DETROIT TOMORROWt . l Following yesterday afternoon's try- outs and a consultation between Coach Lee and Captain Reinde, the tennist squad was cut from 15 to seven men,a in preparation for the final competi-I tion before picking the four men who will go east with the team when the] Wolverines invade the enemies's courts.J The men who are now left on the squad are ranked in the following or- der: Captain Reindel, Crawford, Mack, Switzer, Polasky, Cohen and Eaton.- Eaton's defeat by Cohen in yesterday's play put Cohen in the place he occu- pied before the Toledo tryouts of last' week. The six men first named in the above list will make the trip to De- troit tomorrow when the Varsity meets1 the team of the Detroit Tennis club in the afternoon.i Although the make-up of the Detroit Tennis club team is not yet public, the Varsity will meet some opposition which should put them in fine fettle for the eastern trip which starts a week from tomorrow. The cracks of the Detroit team have not been 6n the courts as long as the Michigan men and Captain Reindel's followers may spring a surprise when the totals are turned in. Richard Doughty will probably be among those to face the Wolverines, playing first on the Detroit team. He has been champion of the state of Michigan, and while in Williams col- lege was captain of the tennis team and intercollegiate champion of New England. His support will probably rest in Atkinson, Donovan, Hibbard, Spicer and Stevens, all experienced veterans of the game. Next week will be spent in a series of "round-robin" matches which will keep the men busy sizing each other up. On the basis of next week's prac- tice the final selection of four men for the team will be made. The doubles teams are now lined up, and it is like- ly that the team-work between the men may have something to do with the result. The composition court, which. has been completed as far as work on the base is concerned, will probably be ful- ly *quipped with netting, posts, and a surface dressing by next week. De- lay in shipment of the equipment is the ,cause of keeping the men off the court.
