Why you? I MR. AMATEUR PaOTOGRAPH R, ANN ARBOR, MICH. Dear Sir: Now look here a minute-you cannot afford to go and spend your good money for films, take the trouble to make the ex- posures (some of which you can never get again) and then tak e the film to some careless or inexperience person to develop for you. I say you cannot afford to do that. The backbone of every picture is the negative- and a poor negative is more often the fault of the person who develops it than the amateur who exposes it. I ask you - look over your films and see how many oft them are perfect-without scratches or finger marks or strains, of any kind-If there are none - the chances are they came from Lyndon's. Lyndon's whole scheme of developing and p-inting is such that every chance for scratches or stains or finger marks is eliminated. Why make good exposures and let some poor workman spoil the negative for you. Better take it to Lyndon and knolk the results will be right. Read Lyndon's guarantee on every envelope. Go to Lyndon once for Kodaks and finishing and you'll never go any where else. Prices the same but work better r- I A WARNING To those who have Panama hats which are of any value at all, the fol- lowing article, copied from "The American Hatter" of June, 1914, will be of interest. "Look out for the bootblack renovator. If anything more than another will succeed in giving the Panama a black eye, and bring the seller into disrepute, it is this happy foreigner who, with a block, a brush, and a dollar's worth of acid, can ruin more good hats than ever were spoiled by wear and weather." Nearly all importers of Panama hats have slips printed and placed in t the hats which they sell to warn the public. These read as follows: "This hat is guaranteed to be a genuine Panama, but it is not indestructable. The wearer is cautioned against entrusting it to unskilled hands for cleaning and blocking, as the importers will assume no responsibility for damage so caused." We do only first-class work; we use no acids whatever. We cannot, however, clean your hat while you wait, or do it in a day, we must have time. We therefore urge those who wish us to do their work to bring in their hat at once so we can have them ready when wanted. May 15th is set as "Straw Hat Day." If you bring your hat in now we will have plenty of tinie to get it done in nice shape and have it ready when you want it. FACTORY HAT STORE Near Allenel Hotel 118 E. This meeting, ascheduledafor 1:15 o'clock, will take the place of that postponed from last Wednesday after- noon. President E. 13. Palmer, '17, yester- day held a conference with the officials of the Ann Arbor Golf and Outing club, on whose links the members of the university organization are to play, and a plan of enrollment for the stu- dent players was outlined. This will be presented to the session this after- noon. It is expected that more than a score of members will be signed up today, and as the number is limited, practically all who are to enter the club are expected to be present. Details of the two tournaments which are planned will also be outlin- ed at the meeting today. The class championship tourney will be staged first and will be followed by the indi- vidual campus title play. The action of the board of directors of the ath- letic association in recognizing golf, as staged by the university club, as an interclass sport, opens the way for the staging of accredited tourneys. Un- officialssanction to theuplaying of matches with outside clubs has also been secured, and it is probable that some attempt will be made to arrange several games with Detroit players. B. V.
