Dear Sir: Now look here a minute-you cannot afford to go and spend your good money for films, take the trouble to make the ex- posures (some of which you can never get again) and then take the film to some careless or inexperience person to develop for .you. Isay you cannot afford to do that. The backbone of every picture is the negative- and a poor negative is more often the fault of the person who develops it than the amateur who exposes it. I ask you -look over your films and see how many of them are perfect-without scratches or finger marks or strains, of any kind-If there are none - the chances are they came from Lyndon's. Lyndon's whole scheme of developing and p-inting is such that every chance for scratches or stains or finger marks is eliminated. Why make good exposures and let some poor workman spoil the negative for you. Better take it to-Lyndon and knol the results will be right. Reed Lyndonfs guarantee on every envelope. Yesterday's practice was marked by the absence of four regulars, Sisler, Sheehy,' Brandell and Benton failing to appear in togs. Benton and Bran- dell were on the field while the prac- tice was in session, but Coach Lund- gren will not allow either of thesej battered sluggers to play. Benton suffered a blow on the hands from a Normal batter's stick in the last game, and his flippers are in such bad shape that he will probably be out of the game until tomorrow and he may even be prevented from going against Case Tech at that time. Brandell's wrist and hands have been in bad shape for some time and he has struck a hitting slump as a re- sult. His fielding has also suffered as a result of the condition' of his hands, and the coach relegated him to the bench during yesterday's workout. He will remain there today and will prob- ably be ready to take his place in the batting order tomorrow. Sisler's place in the outfield was filled by Niemann, and Sheehy's va- cant spot in center field was occupied by Davidson, who hit the ball in such good style on the southern trip. Mc- Graw was placed in the boots made empty by Benton, and Anderson play- ed at short stop while Brandeld warm- ed the bench. In only one inning did the regulars' box artist let the freshmen find the ball, and in that time Coach Hughitt's men pounded out four hits for their only runs. He shut out the freshmen in the other three innings, and perfect support in the third would have saved two of the runs. The play was long and a large nunber of long speeches added to the difficulty. A great deal of credit for the suc- cessful staging of the comedy is due Mr. H. V. Wann, who has drilled the cast for the past two months, and whose efforts were certainly rewarded by the results shown in last night's performance. About 50 members of the Alliance Francaise, of Detroit, journeyed to view the production and nothing but praise was heard from the visitors.
