COURTS READY FOR STUD)ENTS
According to a statemeut made yes-
terday by Graduate Director P. G. Bar-
telme, the tennis courts on Ferry field
will be greatly iraproved by the rain
last week which gave the wcorkmen an
opportunity to put the ground in pre-
sentable shape. With the exception of
the two Varsity courts, the tennis en-
closure has been in poor conditi.on dur-
ing' the past week, and an unusually
large number of players have been
unable to obtain access to the pla.ying
grounds. A bursted water pipe o.n a
part of the inclosure has prevented the
courts being put into shape.

Summer School Bulletins Now iJeady,
Prof. E. H. Kraus, acting dean of the
summer session, states that the l4 rge
announcements for the summer s es-
sion are now ready for distribution.
They contain a complete list of th e
courses of instruction which are to b'e
given. The work during the summer'
session is the same as that during the
regular semester, and each year a
larger number of students are taking
advantage of this, and shortening their
college courses. Last year 125 secured
their degrees after completing the
summer work. This enabled them to
finish their four-year course in three
years and three summer sessions.
