Michigan men have seen fit to fster during recent years the custom of lift- ing their hats to "Prexy" Angell, ks. a small expression of their respect and appreciation for a lifetime of devotion to their university. Some there are, who do not seem to realize that in their midst is a character, a venerable and lovable old man, whose name is known and revered throughout the civilized world. Thousands have come and gone and felt the inspiration of his noble life, dedicated in service to this great university of ours. As we met him in front of University hall yesterday and raised our cap, to re- ceive in return that cordial nod and smile, we felt a strange sort of warmth, not easily describable. Hasn't that same experience been yours? Surely he is known to everyone on the campus. Let us realize what a priv- ilege we enjoy in knowing Dr. Angell, and may we have the opportunity for years to come of lifting our hats to Michigan's grandest character. Hard to guess the size of the fresh-_ man class from the number of gray caps on the campus. Who wants to start a fight and insist that the grounds department turn on the water? The increased fee for non-residents means another week of book-selling. Michigan's cosmopolitanism can't be judged by local Cosmopolitan sales. Tennis Lovers, Attention!
