It will be the first time in several years that no role has been portrayed by a member of the faculty, but as exceptional pro- gress has been made by the members of the cast, a remarkable presentation is expected by Director H. V. Wann, %io has charge of the play, and others who have taken interest in the re- hearsals. Lucie Buehler, grad., who has the advantage of having studied in France several years, is reported as being re- markably proficient in her portrayal of Madame Malingear, the wife of the dilettante doctor. The latter part is in the hands of Lloyd Curby, 17L, who, with Manuel Delvalle, 16E, as M. Ratin- ois, carries one of the two leading men's roles. Arrangements have been made by 75 memabers of the Alliance Francaise of Detroit to view the performance. A special car has been engaged and a special block of tickets has been re- served for the visitors. Pres. H. Kirke White, of the Detroit organization, has charge of the trip, and tickets can be procured from him in Detroit. Three complete changes of scenery are necessary in the course of the pro- duction, which surpasses the number of settings used in any production given before under the auspices of the Cercle. Ruth Crandall, '15, and Rodney Par- ker, '16, will present the short skit, "I, Faut qu'une Porte Soit Ouverte ou Fermee." before the other attraction. The play is said to be amusing and the work which has been given to perfect- ing the parts is sufficient to show that a polished presentation may be ex- pected. Associate members of the Cercle may exchange their tickets tomorrow and Friday by taking them to their French classes, for coupons good for 50 cents toward the purchase of a GARREICK DETROIT WEEK OF APRIL 19th WM.
