NOT TO HOLD FORUM THIS WEEK
Officials Think That Day and Concert
Would Keep Many Away 1
Owing chiefly to the fact that Thurs-
day is the day before vacation, the offi-
cials of the Forum have decided not to
hold a meeting this week. It is also
thought that the concert in Hill audi-
torium on the same night would keep
away a number of those who otherwise
might attend. It has not yet been de-
termined whether or not the sessions
will be continued after spring vacation.
Scarcity of Jobs for Spriig Vacation
University Y. M. C. A. officials an-
nounced yesterday that all those stu-
dents, who desire odd jobs for spring
vacation, should hand in thrfr names
as soon as possible, as ther; seems to
be a scarcity of work this spring. The
jobs that will come in this week will
be distributed on Friday among those
who have already filed their applica-
tions. It is necessary for those who
want work to have their names in be-
fore that time.
Fresh Engineers to Hear Prof. J. Allen

engineering department, will address
the fresh engineers at their weekly as-
sembly, at 11:00 o'clock - tomorrow
morning, in room 348 of the engineer-
ing building. His lecture will be on
the general field of mechanical engi-
neering. Professor Allen was sched-
uled to speak last Wednesday, but was
called out of town.

DR. CUMMINGS DEMONSTRATES
RESUSCITATION TO FRESHMEN
To prevent any drowning accidents
this season, such as have occurred al-
most yearly on the Huron river, Dr. H.
H. Cummings, head of the university
health service staff, is demonptrating
the methods of resuscitation to all
members of Dr. May's freshmen gym-
nasium classes. The demonstrations
have been carried on by Dr. Cumming
for the last two days, and they will
continue until the methods have been
demonstrated before each class.
Chess Team Plays in Chicago April 9
At' a chess tournament to be held in
Chicago on April 9 and 10, Michigan's
chess team will meet the big teams of
the east. The long contest withthe
Harvard team during the winter, has
given the Michigan team experience,
and a good showing should be made in
the Windy City. Several Chicago fra-
ternities will entertain the Michigan
men while in that city.
