Book Coupons
Many students are sending in appli.
cations for seats at the Pennsylvania
and Cornell games, without enclos-
ing their admission coupons with the
orders. The athletic authorities state
that no orders wil be filled unless this
condition is complied with.
Approximately 1800 students have
already applied for the highly prized
pasteboards, and large numbers of ap-
plications are pouring in by every
mail. Under the new system, all tick-
ets must be purchased by mail, as
coupons will not be honored when
presented in person, except at the gate
for general admission. Coupon No. 10
should be mailed with orders for Penn
game tickets and No. 11 for the scrap
with Cornell.
SOCCER PLAYERS HOLD FIRST
PRACTICE ON FERRY FIELD
Soccer players had their first prac-
tice of the year yesterday afternoon,
and at a meeting held on Ferry field
it was decided to stage three prac-
tices a week in preparation for the
games scheduled for this fall.
Two contests with Ypsilanti, and
two with Battle Creek have been ar-
ranged. Others are being negotiated
for, pending the manifestation of suf-
ficient interest to justify the addition-
al expense.

You blinded your eyes
It all happened yesterday
Today-and--in Ann Arbor is
the only place on this continent where
you can have a Flashless Flashlight
Photograph made. In a case on State
St. are photographs made absolutely
without flash p o w d e r, explosion,
smoke or dirt doing ,away with any
chance of closing the eyes. This
certainly is a great improvement over
the smokeless flashlight which is made
in white bags. This latter method has
proven very dangerous in that bags
will eventually ignite thereby causing
serious conflagration. That perfection
in photography is the aim of Daines
& Nichols, the State Street photog-
raphers, is evidenced by the display
of flashiigh irphotosin the case in
front of their studio. 334 and 336

Equipment of Gymnasium Is Increased
Several new pieces of paraphernalia
have been added to the gymnasium's
equipment since last year. Every
dumb-bell, Indian club, and rod has
been given a coat of shellac. New par-
allel and horizontal bars have been
added, while new jumping and pole
vaulting standards have been added to
the track equipment.
^ero Club Threatens to Disorganize
Owing to lack of interest, the Aero
club is not making any plans for the
year; and unless some interest is
speedily revived, the club will in all
probability soon cease to exist. Last
year the club struggled along vainly
endeavoring to arouse interest in aero-
nautics, heavily handicapped by lack
of funds.
The glider, which was owned by the
club, was smashed beyond repair dur-
ing a trial held last spring, and being
without funds, the club cannot build
or buy another one.
Library Assistant Instructs Freshmen
Miss F. N. Gillette, assistant refer-
ence librarian, is conducting her annu-
al trips through the library this week,
having as her escorts the freshmen of
the rhetoric department. Her plant is
to initiate the freshmen in the best
and most efficient methods of obtain-
ing both reference and reading books.
To accomplish this she gives a half
hour talk to each section.
