ANN ARBOR ART ASSOCIATION
CONVENES IN ANNUAL MEETING
Members of the Ann Arbor Art as-
sociation held their annual meeting
the fore part of the week, at which
time they inspected the exhibition of
paintings by the Chicago society of
Artists, which is placed in Memorial
hall.
The most important business trans-
acted was the formation of a new type
of membership to the association. The
new members are to be known as con-
tributing members, and pay a sum in
excess of the regular amount of the
membership of the association. This
plan was devised in an effort to in-
crease the stability of the association's
finances.
The election of officers was held,
and Prof. H. R. Cross, of the fine arts

department, was re-elected president
of the association.

D Loved Her,
Ho! Ho! Ho!.
"Oh Mary Gray, I rue the daya
I first- set eyes upon you;
For Mary Gray, since that same day,
I'm dreaming that I won you.
"At night I sleep not, Mary Gray,
My brain with you is teeming;
I cannot even eat by day,
But sit, of you a-dreaming.
"My work lies idle, Mary Gray,
Since you my heart inspired;
And I received just yesterday,
A pink slip saying 'Fired!'
"But job and sleep and appetite,
For them I snap a finger,
If, Mary Gray, just once to-day,
I see your sweet smile linger."

COUNCILMEN PICK
LACY TOOFFICIATE
Make Agee Vice-Presdent, Mothersill
and Parsons Secretaries,
Soddy Treasurer
TO CONTINUE RICKETT'S POLICY
Harold M. Lacy, '15, is the new pres-
ident of the student council. T. E.
Agee, '15L, who ran a close race for
the presidency, was elected vice-pres-
ident at last night's meeting. The
council also ordered a nomination by
junior lits and engineers for one coun-
cilman each to be held Friday.
The other officers for the second
semester are A. W. Mothersill, '15, re-
cording secretary; H. S. Parsons, '15E,
corresponding secretary; T. P. Soddy,
'16E, treasurer; W. I. Lillie, '15M, au-
ditor.
A. T. Ricketts, '15E, the retiring
president, requested all the new offi-
cers to rise, and then administered the
oath of office. Lacy took the chair im-
mediately, but made no speech. After
the meeting he said that Rickett's pol-
icy had been satisfactory, and that
since nothing vital was impending, it
would serve him for the present.
