D. Kountz, '02L, Composer of "Men of Yost," Offers New Band Song to Campus '"That Michigan Band" is out. Mr. C. D. Kountz, '02L, composer of "Men of Yost," and the "Michigan Drinking Song," has once more con- tributed to Michigan's music, with the stirring march song, "That Michigan Band." This composition is already familiar to the campus, since it was introduced last week at the Glee club concert, and previous to that, at the Penn mass meeting. Mr. Kountz has donated all royalties that may accrue from the sale of the song to the band. In addition to the songs which he. has written for Michi- gan, Mr. Kountz has composed several popular songs, among them "Welcome to the United States," described as a neutral war song,. "Lovelight," and "You Came to Me Out of the Dark- ness." Mr., Kountzs bet composition, per- haps, is an introduction to "The Ber- ner March," composed in 1520, used by the Swiss 'army _as one of the offiil. marches, and played extensively by all the military bands of that country, in the mobilization which followed the breaking out of the present war.
