SEEK TO DIVERT UNIVERSITY SUPPLIES FROM WAR SEIZURE Efforts to divert the $10,000 ship- ment of university supplies, frbm Hamburg, wheire it is being held on ac- count of the war, tosome neutral port on the continent, are being made by the purchasing department of the uni- versity. A shipment of five cases of porce- lain ware and rubber goods came through from Germany by way of Copenhagen, several days ago. At- tempts are now being made to have the large shipment sent by the same route, after breaking up the lot into smaller cases, in order to avoid dan- ger of total loss. No insurance rates can be obtained. WOMEN'S UOSPITAIL NEEDS TWO M.D.'S FOR INTERNE POSITIONS Two interne positions at the Wom- en's Hospital of Philadelphia are open for recently graduated doctors and the authorities of the hospital have noti- fled our medical department of the vacancies. One position is to be filled at once and the other does not become vacant until January 1. The hospital prefers to secure men who wish to serve as internes for nine months or a year at the most.
