Slow running for a distance of two
or three miles constituted the final
workout of the cross-country squad,
yesterday, preparatory to their timed-
race this afternoon which will termi-
nate at Yypsilanti with a banquet at
which certificates of merit are to be
awarded to members of last year's
squad. Yesterday the whole squad
ran together, l _,t today two separate
groups will run. Captain rfrelfa will
lead the faster men, with President
Young of the cross-country club shw-
ing the new candidates the way.
L. F. 'ferry, '5E, will be tostmaster
at this evening's dinner at the Owl-
dental Hotel, and, speeChe by intra-
mural Rtowe, Coach McCall of the soc-
cer team and several others will fea-
ture the program arranged.

the governorship. A "Hippodrome
Rally" will be held early next week

speaker will be on the program.
A preliminary meeting 'of ,those in-
terested in the movement was held
last night, and a student committee
appointed. A supplementary comt-
tee of faculty men will be formed
soon, and permnent officers will be
elected at the rally.
