At The Whitney.
Norman Hackett the star of "Satan
Sanderson" will again present this suc-'
cessful "Michigan made" play at the
Whitney, tonight.
Mr. Hackett is an alumnus of the
University (class of '98), while Kirk.
Alexander, who dramatized the story
from Hallie Erminie Rives' novel, in
collaboration with Mrs. James O. Mur-
fin, is also a U. of M. man, (class of
'96.) "Satan Sanderson" scored a gen-
uine success last season, and during
the summer its authors have material-
ly strengthened the dramatic force by
new artistic effects, so that its second
presentation here should mean another
big Michigan night at the Whitney for
our "own" famous actor and drama-
tist.

Donald Brian in "The Siren."
"The Siren," the musical comedy
success in which. Charles Frohman
will present Donald Brian at the Whit-
ney theater, Thursday, October 3, is by
the authors of "The Dollar Princess,"
in which Mr. Brian was last seen here.
The supporting company has been se-
lected from among the most impor-
tant members of that organization and
that other dainty musical comedy suc-
cess, "The Arcadians." From "The
Dollar Princess," Mr. Frohman select-
ed Will West and Cyril Biddulph,
whose "Truly Rural" song was one
of the hits of that production, whil
"The Siren" contains also such popu-
lar "Arcadians" as Julia Sanderson
and Ethel Cadman. Of course with
Donald Brian as the star of "The Sir-
en," one is assured of plenty of intoxi-
cating dance numbers as well as
haunting songs and delicious comedy.
