TOO EARLY TO WORRY.
Before discussions become heated rel-
ative' to charging students for the
Pennsylvania-Michigan ball games in
June, as discussed in a communication
n Wednesday's Michigan Daily, we
'.ould advise that the absolute truth
of the matter be first ascertained.
j No action has been" taken by 'the
athletic association to date as to the
handling of these games,- we are in-
formed, and until Director Bartelme,
who is out of town, returns, no thing
official will' be done" We are of the
opinion, however, :that all quities tin
} avor of those who have paid the 4an-
ket tax, will be observed. We can't
;ee how it' could be otherwise, and,
intil the contrary-appear, why wor-
ry?
DO YOUR PART.
The -send-off for the new cheering
system occurs at the ball game tomor-
row. Encouragement'should be con-
tributed by the stands.
Tis xiians. that a hand .must be
riven to every man who is willing to
Wy- out for cheer-leader. Especially
does it mean that we must be tolerant
of the unknowns who appear on the
firing .line. It is not necesary that a
man be a campus luminary, in order
to qualify for the position. Michigan
wants cheer-leaders, and so long 'as
we get men who understand their bus-
iness, it is immaterial W tether their
names be,#oe or Doe, Black orBrown.
Work on New Tunnel 1"'IStandstill
Owing to mechanical troubles with
the large traveling crane, work on the
new power-house tunnel is practically
at a standstill. At present the exca-
vation extends half the length of the
east front of the gymnasium. The ex-
cavation will be resumed the last of
this week or the first of next.
