State Street Sigzn of the 8g!Whte Shoe HAS LARGE SALE, NEARLY EQUAL- ING ENTIRE NUMBER SOLD LAST YEAR. That the 1913 Michiganensian is be- ing appreciated by the campus is well shown by the two days' sale of the year books which nearly equals the entire number sold last year. The books did not go on sale until nearly noon Friday and 330 books were dis- posed of in the first 20 minutes. The buying continued brisk throughout the day, as well as at night when many copies were sold at the State street tent by the light of a gasoline torch. A large number was also disposed of yesterday and Business Manager Carl Schoeffel declared last night that if the sale continues tomorrow as it has today, the entire edition will be disposed of by tomorrow night.- The books will remain on sale at the two tents on the campus until to- morrow night, when the tents will be removed and the sale transferred to the State street stores. ~1 I I1 I' @N. Grand Rapids amassed all their points in the field events Friday and might have done better had they a little bet- ter track material. The meet itself was handled in ex- cellent shape and was devoid of the usual tedious waits and wrangling that mars so many meets. The sports- manship of the contestants was ex- cellent and the Michigan schools were warm in their congratulations to their successful Illinois rivals. The cups and medals were all distributed at the dinner at the Union last night and the men who responded to toasts were warm in their praise of Michigan hos- pitality.
